For as long as we both shall breathe...

Hey all!

Guess what landed in the mailbox just this past Tuesday! Yes - "Breaking Dawn"! By Thursday I had read it through. I also had to do less important stuff too such as work..eat...sleep. The book was over too quickly!

Overall, I think it was very good. I love the relationship between Bella & Edward. Or rather, I love all the relationships in the books. They are so romantic in the way that they kind of mate for life, or for all etirnity that is. If Bella would die, Edward wouldn´t greef for six months and then move on. It is Bella or no one! That seems to be the case for almost every character - Carlisle & Esme, Alice & Jasper Hale etc.

The interesting thing about "Breaking Dawn" is that we as readers get a very pink picture of the whole vampire thing. Bella turns into a vampire and what happens? Nada! She doesn´t turn into a monster and no demon is taking over her body. Life is just super and they are all so very happy. Although new born vampires are impossible to control, Bella has an enormous force of self control. Bella told us herself that she thought she would lose some aspects of who she as, but she doesn´t change at all really. She is just a new member of the fang gang.

Another thing, don´t get me started with the whole Jacob thing. I am quite conflicted here. At one point I love the fact that Jacob got his mojo working for Nessie, but at the same time...that was very convenient. No more conflicts among themselves to work through except for external influences.

However, thinking about this I just remembered which age group this book is targeting. In my local book store it is on the shelf that says "youth books age 12-15". So...it is no wonder that solutions to conflicts are conveniently handled and the vampire thing toned down.

So now the Cullen saga is over(?) My friend Vic was talking about some fifth book that might come out. I would love for that rumour to be true. Soon I will buy the books in English as well and start all over. And must get my other books back from Jennie!

(Nevertheless...ever thine!)

Ps. With so many books about the Cullens, I am glad to say that Robert Pattinson has a long career as a vampire ahead of him! :)
